Grandpa kills baby?

LINDA SOKO TEMBO writes  A CHINSALI man has allegedly defiled and killed his four-year-old granddaughter and dumped the body in a nearby river to hide the crime. According to police, a four-year-old girl is believed to have been murdered by her grandfather and dumped in Buni stream in ChinsaliDistrict. Muchinga Commissioner of Police Joel Njase said the incident was reported on May 1 and that John Chimfwembe the grandfather of the juvenile was suspected to have defiled the minor before murdering her. The man has been arrested while the body has been retrieved from the river and deposited in the district hospital mortuary. In another development, residents of Nakonde district have assaulted a man accused of stealing a cow valued at K3, 500. The matter was reported by Emmanuel Sinkala at Nakonde Police that his cow valued at K3, 500 was allegedly stolen by Mathews Sinkala. Members of the public managed to apprehend the suspect and recovered the cow and beat up the suspected with sticks.
