A 10 year old girl of Mumbwa district has died after being defiled by two men of the same family.
Central province police commissioner, Chola Katanga confirmed in a statement that the girl was defiled by Harry and Jack Kandolo aged 25 and 20 years between August 9 and 10.
Mr Katanga said the victim who was unconscious at the time of reporting sustained painful private parts.
“We received a reported on 10th August 2020 at 18:15 hrs in which Joyce Kakanka aged 40 years reported on behalf of her daughter that she was defiled by Harry Kandolo aged 25 years and Jack Kandolo aged 20 years,” said Mr Katanga.
The police boss said the victim died in at Mumbwa district hospital at around 22:00 on Monday August 10 2020.
He said the two suspects have since been apprehended and are detained in police custody.
The body of the diseased has been deposited at Mumbwa district hospital mortuary waiting postmorterm.
