@SunZambianTHE Zambia Information and Communication and Technology Authority (ZICTA) will identify an investor to set up the fourth mobile service provider once the tender process is closed this month.In an interview, ZICTA Director General Patrick Mutimushi said the tender for the fourth mobile service provider was still on and it would come to on 30 November, 2020.Recently, Transport and Communications, Minister, Mutotwe Kafwaya stated that he was happy with the way the tendering process was progressing.The minister said that the introduction of the fourth service provider, among other plans, would result in better service provision.“I have instructed ZICTA to procure another company to become a fourth mobile service provider in the country. And so, ZICTA is in the process of procuring that entity. An advert came out, I hope they are getting the interests,” Mr Kafwaya said.Uzi Zambia failed to launch its operations in the country after being awarded the contract by ZICTA in March 2019.
