FIFA confirms 15 Zambian referees for 2021
WORLD football governing body, FIFA, has confirmed 15 Zambian referees on the list of approved international referees for the year 2021. The 15 referees approved by the FIFA Referees Committee comprise four male, two female and nine assistant referees with established official Janny Sikazwe also confirmed as Video Match Official. FAZ Referees Manager Aziph Banda has congratulated the selected referees and wished them well in the coming year. “Special congratulations to Trywell Nyirenda from Kasama, Naphtally Banda from Petauke for being selected on the FIFA panel for the first time and Janny Sikazwe for being selected as Video Match Official (VMO),” said Banda. The approved referees are Audrick Nkole, Derrick Kafuli, Gloria Sambumba, Janny Sikazwe, Mathews Hamalila and Patience Mumba. The list of approved Assistant Referees are: Chiwoyu Sinyangwe, Diana Chikotesha, Gertrude Nyirenda, Kabwe Chansa, Meck Nyirenda, Mercy Zulu, Naphtally Banda, Thomas Kaela and Trywell Nyirenda Janny Sikazwe has also been certified as a referee and video match official.
