FAZ mourns Micho’s mother

SUN SPORTS writes ZAMBIA National Soccer team coach Milutin Sredojevic has lost his mother. Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) communications manager Sydney Mungala confirmed the development in a statement issued yesterday.  Mungala said the Association led by FAZ president Andrew Kamangais saddened by the death of the national team coachs’ mother who passed away in Serbia. “FAZ has learnt with deep shock the death of the mother of Chipolopolo coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic in Serbia. “FAZ president Andrew Kamanga, his executive committee and secretariat staff commiserates with Micho in his moment of grief especially that he is in Zambia on his tour of duty,” Mungala said. And his message of condolences, Kamanga said the football family is mourning with Micho who has found a new home in Zambia. “Losing a loved one, especially one as close as a mother is very saddening. We mourn with coach Micho who has lived with the Zambian family for almost four months and has become a member of our football family,” he says. “We extend a warm hand to him and his family and pray that God may ease the pain. On our part we will do our best to ensure that we ease the burden of the loss,” Kamanga said. Micho’s mother Rada died aged 70 and she is said to have played a critical role for Micho to become a coach in Africa.  “I have remained just with best memories of herself in my heart, mind and soul with the best ingredients being the values she engraved in me,” Micho said. “My mother will forever be inside me and whatever I did in African football I owe it to her,” Micho said. Micho took up the Chipolopolo mantle on February 3, 2020. The Sun
