FAZ mourns former Chipata City FC veep Fackson Mbewe

SUN SPORTS writes THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has described the former Chipata City Council Football Club vice president, Fackson Mbewe as an outstanding leader. In a statement issued by FAZ Communications manager Sydney Mungala, the association expressed sorrow upon learning of the demise of Mbewe at Chipata Central Hospital. “Once again football has lost an outstanding leader. Mr. Mbewe was a dedicated servant of the game whose contribution speaks for itself. We will greatly miss him and wish that the remaining administrators follow his example,” FAZ Secretary General Adrian Kashala has said. Mbewe served as vice president for the FAZ Division One Eastern Province side Chipata City Council from 2016-2018. He also served as club president from 2011 to 2012. Kashala described the late administrator as an outstanding community leader in Eastern Province. “Mbewe will be greatly missed and appealed to football administrators to learn from the deceased’s exemplary leadership,” he said.  The funeral gathering is at Plot No.27 Hollywood Area, Chipata.
