Fathi eyes winning run
MUKWIMA CHILALA writes @SunZambian NAPSA Stars head coach Mohamed Fathi is confident that his team will continue with their fine form in the Confederation Cup as they host UD Songo of Mozambique on Tuesday. The Mozambican arrive in the country today ahead of the first leg first round fixture to be played at the Heroes Stadium tomorrow afternoon. Fathi said he was confident that his team would replicate their form of the last two games in the preliminary round in which they saw off FC Ngazi of Comoros. NAPSA scored nine goals all together in the preliminaryround, defeating their opponents 9-2 on aggregate. Fathi is optimistic his inform players Emmanuel Mayuka, Jacob Ngulube and Timothy Otieno would continue scoring going into the first round of the competition. “We are trying to push from the same momentum from what we have done in the first round of continental games and our three last continental games in which our players have shown character,” Fathi said. We will put our game against Power behind us, the concentration in camp is very high so we are full of confidence and our players are scoring, Mayuka scored, Laudt scored, Jacob scored so everything is on the right track. And Fathi is hopeful that his injury sidelined players,Tapson Kaseba and Bonwell Mwape could be back to full action in January. Instrumental midfielder Danny Silavwe will be sidelined for the next ten days after having been injured in their 1-0 win against Green Buffaloes in the domestic league last week. Silavwe has been instrumental in NAPSA’s last three games scoring a brace in the first leg preliminary fixture against Ngazi away in Comoros. NAPSA are making their debut participation in the competition with a win over two legs against Songo guaranteeing  them progression to the second round of the competition.
