CHIEF Fwambo of the Mambwe speaking people in Mbala District has congratulated President-elect, Hakainde Hichilema for being elected seventh republican President.
Chief Fwambo has also called on Mr Hichilema to attend to the challenges affecting the people citing poor road network and inadequate communication facilities
The traditional leader noted that working on the feeder roads in his chiefdom would enable farmers transport their goods easily.
He noted that more than 80 percent of people in his chiefdom are farmers and as such improving the road network would enhance productivity and promote the growth of the agricultural sector.
Chief Mfwambo observed that the chiefdom can contribute to the food basket of the district if farmers are boosted with a good road network.
The traditional leader has also appealed to government to put communication towers as the areas has challenges with accessing internet and mobile services.
