CB taxi drivers up their game
SANFROSSA MANYINDA writes WE are strict following health guidelines and ensuring that drivers as well as passengers are well protected, the Copperbelt Taxi Drivers Association (CTDA) has said. CTDA Chairperson Kelvin Kanyanda, told The Sun that his organisation had learnt with deep concern the escalated number of the positive Covid-19 cases, especially in Nakonde. Zambia has since March recorded more than 250 cumulative Covid-19 cases with seven deaths. “We will ensure that commuters adhere to the guidelines given by the Ministry of Health. We will ensure that all passengers wear face masks, sanitize and wash their hands regularly and observing social distancing,” Mr Kanyanda said. The Chairperson further added that compliance levels among the drivers and commuters were high a situation he said was encouraging.  Mr Kanyanda said that all the drivers and commuters were always in face masks and were sanitising their hands before they boarded any taxi. “We are happy to see such an improvement and adherence levels are high in this field. I am sure we will win the fight if we continue joining hands in this fight,” Mr Kanyanda has said. The Sun
