BINWELL MPUNDU CONFIDENT
By SANFROSSA MANYINDA I AM very confident that I will be adopted as Nkana Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) because everyone knows that I am popular on the ground, Kitwe former District Commissioner Binwell Mpundu has said. But in an event that he is not adopted, Mr Mpundu said he would still remain loyal to the party as always. “ Everyone knows that I have always been loyal to the party. For those of you that remember very well, you will recall that I was at the same place in 2016. “Last time, I was not adopted despite having had applied but I did not take it personal but kept being loyal to the party,” he said in an interview. Mr Mpundu observed that he was the most popular among all the aspirants in the constituency, hence the confidence that he would be the chosen one. The former DC said the party would win the seat as early as 10:00 hours should he be adopted because there would be no competition. Mr Mpundu said that rehabilitating the roads in Nkana constituency would be his first priority once elected as MP. He added that Nkana had the most dilapidated roads in the district a situation he said was unfortunate and needed urgent attention. “The other thing we will concentrate on that we feel needed urgent attention is to create more spaces in schools in the constituency so that pupils do not continue having difficulties in accessing proper education,” he said.
