AVAP WANTS VOTERS TO VERIFY DETAILS EN MASSE
By SANFROSSA MANYINDA SPARE some time within your busy schedule and participate in the physical voter verification exercise, the Anti- Voter – Apathy Project (AVAP) has advised voters. AVAP Copperbelt regional coordinator, Poster Jumbe, said it was important that voters spared some time to physically verify their details. He said this would enable them identify mistakes with personal details if any and allow registration officers to correct them. Mr Jumbe was speaking in an interview in Kitwe. “This is an important exercise one cannot afford to miss. Registered voters must bear in mind that the exercise is a crucial one,” he said. Mr Jumbe added that voting gave an opportunity to every Zambian to choose leaders of their choice. He said that the only way to make the right decision was to obtain a voters card and follow all the procedures. He said that people should also not abandon the online voter verification exercise. Mr Jumbe also cautioned those going for physical verification to follow all health guidelines on Covid-19 to protect their lives and that of others.
