SIMON MUNTEMBA writes@SunZambianA 35 year old woman identified as Werry Mweete of Lusaka’s Kuku Compound has been arrested for a for abducting and attempting to murder a 23-yerar- old man of the same compound.According acting police spokesperson Danny Mwale who identified the victim as Kenny Kabwe said he was bundled in the boot of a motor vehicle belonging to Mweete and taken to Blue water Dam in Kuku Compound where he was beaten before being thrown into the dam.Mr Mwale explained that Mweete who is a business woman at Intercity Bus Terminus did that with the help of other three men who are currently on the run.He, however, said the motive behind the abduction was yet to be established.“Facts are that on October 22, 2020 around 9:00 hours, Mweete together with three men who are currently on the run, did abduct Kenny Kabwe aged 23 of Kuku Compound from Intercity Bus terminal.“He was bundled in the boot of a motor vehicle belonging to Mweete, who is also known to be a business lady at intercity bus terminal,” Mwale explained.Mr Mwale said the suspect was apprehended on Sunday, October 25 after members of the public tipped police when they saw the same car at a named car park in Kuku Compound.“The victim was Members of the public who were witnessing what was happening took note of the motor vehicle registration number and managed to rescue the victim who was half drowned. Kenny, who sustained a fractured left arm, was rushed to the clinic by people who rescued him before reporting the matter to the police,” he said.Mr Mwale said the Police had since launched a manhunt for the other three suspects, while the victim was still receiving treatment at the clinic.
