LUCY PHIRI writes TWO female juveniles have been dragged to court for stealing a handbag, a gold Samsung galaxy phone, a purse and k550 cash property of Margaret Chisulo. Appearing in the Kafue magistrate court before magistrate Moffat Phiri was Dainess Tembo and Mercy Chizungu accused of stealing the said items all valued at K872. Facts before court is that on May 18 around 08:30 hours in Kafue district, Chisulo went to Kalunkungu market in Zambia compound to buy baby clothes. She reached the stand and sat by the edge holding her baby and handbag on her laps, after a while the baby started to behave in a troublesome manner and she had to put her on her back. She removed a Chitenge  and put her handbag down, as she was putting the baby on the back, she felt her bag being taken. She couldn’t do a thing because she was left in a dilemma whether to pick the bag or tie the  chitenge. “In a short period of time I saw my bag being passed onto another person, I told the owner of the stand that my bag had been stolen and I became confused,” she said. She said she rushed to the police station to report the matter. Two days after the incident police called to say some items hd been recovered. Matter to come up on June 25 for continued trial. The Sun
