TWO men have drowned in a dam while one survived when the boat they were on capsized at New Farm in Mkushi farm bloc in Masansa area.
The incident took place near a neighbouring farm where they usually go fishing during the night.
Central province Commissioner of police, Chola Katanga, confirmed the incident in an interview with The Sun.
Mr Katanga said the accident occurred on Monday around 04:00 hours and identified the victims as Abraham Hambwenzya 21, and Elijah Mtonga 23, both of New Farm.
Mr. Katanga said the duo met their fate when the boat they were using hit into a tree trunk and capsized. Lewis Mobwa 43, survived the accident.
He said police and fire brigade officers managed to retrieve one corpse and were still searching to recover the other body.
“I can confirm that report, but one body was recovered. The other one is believed to be under the water,” Mr Katanga said.
