ZAVA dates Western Province

MATHEWS NDANDULA writes@SunZambianTHE Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) is set to host it’s Beach Volleyball tour from 13 to 15 of November 2020 in western province.The association last year hosted beach volleyball tours in Chirundu and Samfya with Mongu planned as the next destination this coming month.Beach volleyball is believed to be easier to attract sponsors as it consists of two players to form a team limiting the squad to three with the inclusion of the coach.Chisekela said the national federation is waiting for the Western Province board to advise on the venue of the event so that it can be made known to the public.He adds that no other countries have been invited for this tour because of the current Covid-19 pandemic.“Given the fact that the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted our volleyball activities for this year, we are pleased to announce that we will be having a beach volleyball tour to western province in November this year and we would like to encourage a number of participants to take part in this tour,” said Chisekela.ZAVA general secretary also confirmed that the Volleyball National Championship will take place in December from 16 to 20 of December 2020.Chisekela has then encourage all volleyball players, clubs and teams to come through and participate.
