SUN SPORTS write LUSAKA Golf Club captain Noel Nkhoma says the Zanaco Masters Golf Championship which was postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic is likely to return in August. Nkhoma said the tournament’s sponsors Zanaco, the Zambia Golf Union and the Sunshine Tour have settled for a preliminary date of around August for the masters which features international golfers from over 22 countries. Nkhoma said in an interview that the exact date for the masters which attracts more than 200 golfers from countries such as South Africa, India, Brazil and other European countries will depend on how soon the Covid-19 pandemic will end. Nkhoma, meanwhile, hailed Government through President Edgar Lungu for allowing non-contact sports such as golf and tennis to be played. He said following the guidance from President Lungu, the golfers have started trooping to Lusaka Golf Club to practice their favourite sport. Nkhoma re-affirmed the club’s commitment to strictly adhere to the guidelines provided by Ministry of Health officials. The Sun
