NOEL IYOMBWA writes POLICE in Lusaka have rearrested a man who burned his wife and she died after two weeks. Jeremiah Nyirenda was released from police custody after his wife Belinase Nyirenda whom he burnt forgave him. However, Ms Nyirenda an employee of Lusaka City council has died from the wounds she suffered after being burnt on the stomach and shoulder. Police spokesperson Esther Katongo confirmed the development in a telephone interview. Meanwhile in the last one month, police have recorded five cases of aggravated Assault in which all victims are female discovered in unconscious state with head injuries, dumped in Kabangwe area. The latest incident involves a woman identified as Sharon Lufino who was attacked on June, 28 2020 at 19 00 hours and dumped off Ngwerereroad. Ms Katongo said that the victim is said to have hiked a motor vehicle at SOS with a view of going to 15 Miles but was later found with deep head injuries   in an unconscious state. Police have instituted investigations in all cases recorded and wish to advise members of the public to desist from hiking especially at heroes Stadium and SOS as this has proven to be unsafe. The Sun
