WE ARE NOT FOR VIOLENCE, SAYS SHAKUMBILA
By SIMON MUNTEMBA                            THERE is no room for violence and we want peace to continue, Senior Chief Shakumbila of the Sala people has said. The traditional leader also said President Edgar Lungu should continue being in office for the sake of peace and development. He said this yesterday when National Guidance and Religious Affairs Permanent Secretary Howard Sikwela paid a courtesy call on him in Mumbwa. “We are not in support of violence here. In fact, we have President Edgar Lungu already in office, why do we have to change when it is not the right time to change? There is no reasoning of changing the President,” Senior Chief Shakumbila said. He pledged to continue working with the PF government under President Lungu for continued development, peace and unity. Meanwhile, Reverend Sikwela has called on traditional leaders to help government in sensitizing members on the on national values and principles. Rev. Sikwela said the forthcoming elections should not divide the people. He said people should continue to co-exist even after the elections under the One Zambia One Nation Motto.
