JACKSON MAPAPAYI writes A TRIP to the bush to relieve himself turned out to be a death sentence as a 57-year-old man of Mumbeji area in Zambezi district was axed and left for dead by unknown people. The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon in the North-Western province rural district and the deceased has been identified as David Ndona. Sub chief Chizozu of Zambezi confirmed the development and said Mr Ndona met his fate as he tried to answer the call of nature.  The traditional leader said the deceased was ambushed after being trailed by his assailants. “Yes, we had an incident where one man was axed to death by unknown people. This happened when the man went to answer the call of nature,” sub chief Chizozu said. He indicated that the matter had been reported to Zambezi District police who later picked the body late in the evening. And a police source in Zambezi confirmed having picked up a dead body from Mumbeji. The source disclosed that preliminary investigations into the matter revealed that the deceased was murdered on suspicion of practicing witchcraft and that no arrests had been made. The Sun
