Taonga Bwembya rejoins Zanaco By MICHAEL MIYOBA SENSATIONAL Zanaco FC has continued to strengthen the team ahead of the new FAZ Super League season set to kick off on September 11. After unveiling four players on Thursday, Zanaco have announced the return of left back Taonga Bwembya who has signed a two-year deal from Forest Rangers. Bwembya left Zanaco in 2019 to join Forest Rangers which he helped to make a maiden appearance in the CAF Champions League. Meanwhile, Zanaco have also acquired the services of midfielder Ackim Mumba on a season loan deal from Red Arrows. On Wednesday, Zanaco FC Public Relations Officer Martha Nshimbi confirmed that the Bankers have signed goalkeepes Lameck Siame from Kabwe Warriors on a three-year deal. Nshimbi also noted that the Bankers have also signed goalkeeper Charles Lawu who has penned a two-year deal from Indeni while Ghanaian Eric Owusu has penned a two-year deal from Buildcon Football Club. From Back Page Midfielder Salulani Phiri returned to Zanaco on a two-year deal as a free agent after his contract at South Africa’s Polokwane City expired. Meanwhile, National Division one league outfit, Lumwana Radiants has parted ways with 13 players. Those released included former Zanaco player Felix Nyaende and Terry Mwanshi who have joined Indeni and Nchanga Rangers respectively. Radiants vice publicity secretary, Silweya Caesar confirmed that Brice Tchamabo, Neba Van Basten, Ngeleka Katembue, Patient Ikamba, Davies Chirwa, Otice Katenga had left while Emmanuel Manda’s loan deal has not been renewed. Silweya also noted that the club separated mutuarly with striker Jimmy Nakena and Cletous Mulolani, while Joseph Pyele Jr and Dominic Chungwa’s contract have not been renewed.
