SENIOR CITIZEN ON 145KM PROTEST WALK
By PETER SICHALI A SENIOR citizen of Isoka District will stage  a 145  km walk from Isoka to the Muchinga Province provincial capital Chinsali to protest against UPND violence. Josphat Kaluba, 68, told the Daily Nation in an interview that he was dismayed with the  political violence being perpetrated by the opposition party. Mr Kaluba said the violent behavior being perpetrated by the UPND has potential to plunge the country into total chaos if not stopped. “I am demonstrating  against violence. I will undertake a walk from Isoka to Chinsali  to express dissatisfaction against political violence,” Mr Kaluba said. He said it was unfortunate that some politicians were so desperate for power that they were ready to do anything just to ascend to power. And Mr Kaluba urged opposition political leaders l to emulate President Edgar Lungu by denouncing political violence the country was experiencing. “President Edgar Lungu has on several occasions publicly denounced violence and I therefore challenge Mr Hakainde Hichilema and other opposition leaders to follow suit,” he said. The Country has continued to experience violence mainly perpetrated by opposition UPND members with two PF members killed in Kanyama constituency in a crush between two parties on Friday.
