‘Sate Sate not on Stars radar’
MUKWIMA CHILALA NKANA star player Ronald Kampamba affectionately known Sate Sate is not at the moment on the radar of Napsa Stars. A source from the club told the Sun Sport that contrary to media reports, Napsa had not made any official offer for the player as he was not in their immediate plans. The source said that the club had its own protocols of player signing as a result had not made any offer for Sate date or any other player  They said that the club was looking at challenge ahead for the league title and finishing the remaining nine games before it could start thinking of player recruitment. The source further said that looking at the eventualities that had befallen the league due to the Covid-19 pandemic that had caused the suspension of games, it would be unwise for the club to start engaging in transfer business. They said that the team did not have Sate Sate or any other player on their record as players to be signed. “Look we are not signing any player at the moment, we have nine games that we first of all have to play and compete for the title. Sate Sate (Kampamba) is not on our record for signings, put that on record,” the source said. “We can’t start talking about signings when first we have nine games to be played and besides the club has its own protocol that we follow when it comes to these issues.” Media reports had emerged on Wednesday suggesting that the Nkana star player was on the verge of joining Napsa Stars. Kampamba was late last year quoted in the media as having said that he wanted out of the club following broken relations with the coach Manfred Chabinga. Kampamba has been a cult figure at Nkana since bursting on the scene in 2009 and helping the Wusakile win promotion back to the Super league. He is also revered by the Nkana faithful for having led Nkana to winning the league title in 2013 scoring a hat-trick against Red Arrows on the last day of league. The Sun
