RABECCA BANDA writes A Lusaka man has been dragged to court for forging a grade 12 school certificate and dishonestly earning himself K343,691.12 ngwee. Before magistrate Felix Kaoma was Christopher Kangwa 44, a businessman accused of forgery contrary to the Laws of Zambia. It is alleged that on dates unknown but between January 9, 2012 and December 30 ,2016 with intent to deceive and defraud and whilst acting with other persons unknown, Kangwa  did forge a document namely school certificate number 870380887 in the names of Christopher Kangwa by purporting to show that it was genuinely issued by Examination Council of Zambia when in fact not. In count two Kangwa is accused of uttering false documents on dates unknown but between January 9 2012 and December 30 2016, when he knowingly and fraudulently did utter false document namely school certificate number 870380887 in the name of Christopher Kangwa to Emmanuel Longwe a human resource manager at Road Transport and Safety Agency. In count three Kangwa is accused of obtaining pecuniary advantage by false pretenses. It is alleged that Kangwa on dates unknown but between January 9 2012 and December 30 2016 dishonestly did obtain a pecuniary advantage by earning for himself a remuneration of K343,691.12 ngwee from Road Transport and Safety Agency as an enforcement officer. Witness Agness Mwewa, 47 a senior record officer at Examination Council of Zambia said part of her responsibilities is verification and certification of all examination results. She said on March 02 2018, she received a query from Anti-fraud requesting her to verify a copy of a grade 12 school certificate. She said the query was received at Woodlands Service Center where queries are submitted. She said it was established that the copy of certificate number 870380887 which bore the name Christopher Kangwabelonged to Nicholas Manyipa. She said she checked the records and the information in the system did not tally with what was on the school certificate. She said the school certificate was not issued by the Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ). She said she informed the anti-fraud officers and declared the document invalid. The Sun
