By Mukwima ChilalaThe Rainbow Party has charged that any premature change of government in the coming general elections will disadvantage development.
And the party has announced that it will support the Patriotic Front and all its candidates in the August 12 general election.
Speaking during a signing of the Memorandum of understanding between the two parties, Rainbow party first Secretary General Robert Chikwelete said his Party will support the ruling party in the general election because there is no need to change government.
Mr Chikwelete said Zambians should not make the same mistakes that were made in 1991 when government was changed because it took backwards the gains that UNIP left.
And Speaking at the same event, PF member of the central committee Kebby Mbewe said his party will work with the Rainbow Party in ensuring that it wins the elections.
