Private parts assault case
MUYANI SHINJABALE writes The non availability of witnesses has prompted the Ndola Magistrate Court to adjourn the matter in which two sisters were dragged to court for indecently assaulting another woman by inserting an iron bar in her private parts. This is in a case where Delphister Malasa 26, a house wife and SerahMalasa 20, a grade 12 pupil both of Kabushi Township, are charged with indecent assault on a female. When the matter came to court before Magistrate Changa Chitabo, Public Prosecutor Francis Mulenga told the court that the state was unable to proceed due to the non availability of witnesses who included the victim. It is alleged that the duo acting together, wilfully and unlawfully indecently assaulted a female. The incident is alleged to have taken place on June 9, 2020, when Delphister discovered that her husband was allegedly having an affair with the victim who was also believed to be her best friend. It is alleged that Delphister in the company of her younger sister Serah, went to the victim’s house and started beating her. The two sisters allegedly undressed the victim, removed her underwear and inserted an iron bar into her private parts. Public Prosecutor Mulenga applied for an adjournment of the matter and for it to come on a later date. Ndola Magistrate Chitabo, therefore, adjourned the matter to July 24 this year. The Sun
