Patson Daka continues to shine
MUKWIMA CHILALA writes WITH the major leagues open, various Zambian players were in action for their respective clubs as Redbull Salzburg striker Patson Daka continued with his chase for the Austrian Tipico League top golden boot award. Daka red-hot continued with his fine form by adding another goal to his tally as his side recorded an emphatic 3-1 win over Lask in the Austrian Bundesliga on Sunday evening. Daka played 84 minutes while his compatriot Enock Mwepu put in a full shift as the duo continue to shine on their European expedition. The former Power Dynamos hit man’s goal on Sunday took his tally to 23 over 25 matches played and his sixth goal in the last four games played since the resumption of the league. Daka is only two goals shy of the top spot on the scorer’s chart which is occupied by Wolfburg striker ShomnWiessman who also increased his goal tally to 25 goals. Daka and Mwepu’s Salzburg side are top of the Tipico league after having played 26 games . Elsewhere Edward Chilufya played 74 minutes in Djurgarden’s 2-0 win away to Sirius on match day one of the Swedish League that resumed play over the weekend. There was no place for fellow Zambia National soccer Team midfielder Emmanuel Banda who was not named in the match day squad for the Djurgardens. The Sun
