ONE SUSPECT NABBED IN KUNGO MURDER

ADRIAN MWANZAONE person has been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of PF North-Western Province chairperson Jackson Kungo. North-Western Police Commissioner Joel Njase, said officers had arrested one individual and were looking for six more who were involved in the heinous crime. Six other suspects are on the run.Mr Njase said the six suspects were on the run but that the police would not relent in bringing the culprits to book. Mr Njase said he would not allow lawlessness in the province and that the police had kept vigil after the incident were two people lost their lives.He said that police knew suspects but that they fled from their residential areas and were on the run. On Thursday suspected UPND cadres at Kyawama Polling Station in Solwezi allegedly killed Mr Kungo and his colleague. “I can confirm that we have arrested one individual as we look for the remaining six who are currently on the run, but I want to say that police will bring the suspects to book regardless,’’ he said. Mr Kungo met his fate after suspected cadres descended on him at the polling station as they suspected him to have brought pre-marked ballotpapers
