NDC CRIES OVER AKAFUMBA REJECTION IN L/STONE
By ANDREW MUKOMA THE National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Southern Province has accused UPND president Hakiande Hichilema of not being sincere in the administration of the party and the alliance. NDC provincial chairman, Laiven Apuleni, said he was disappointed with the UPND’s adoption process as it was marred with insincerity. Mr Apuleni said since 2016 the UPND leader had been promising the embattled vice president Joseph Akafumba of being adopted because of being in an alliance. He wondered how people who were insincere could lead the nation. Mr Apuleni said it was shocking that Mr Hichilema could not tell his party leadership about the non-adoption of Akafumba whom he had promised. He said the UPND Alliance was a sham as it was an agenda of pushing one person’s agenda into State House. Mr Apuleni said it was unfortunate that UPND did not have respect for other alliance partners.
