ZAMBIA Super League side Napsa Stars has confirmed that it has beefed up its technical bench with the arrival of Chintu Kampamba. Kampamba was an assistant to Levy ‘Chabby’ Chabala at Kabwe Warriors but asked to be excused from his contract with the Magnificent People’s team a few days ago. The Pensioners confirmed the development in a press statement by their media and public relations officer Gwen Mulundu Chipasula which was made available to the ZamFoot Crew. Chintu has penned a two-year deal. “Napsa Stars Football Club is delighted to announce that the club has beefed up its technical bench with the inclusion of Chintu Kampamba as First Assistant coach. Kampamba joins the coaching staff led by Coach Mohamed Fathi, Second Assistant Geoffrey Hamakwenda, Physical Trainer Donwell Yobe, and Goalkeeper Trainer Lameck Nyangu. He emerged successful out of the four candidates that were interviewed for the second-highest coaching role at the club. Before joining Napsa Stars, Mr. Kampamba has had stints with Super Division side Power Dynamos and most recently with Kabwe Warriors FC. ” Napsa Stars Technical Director Honor Janza who announced the arrival of the 2012 AFCON winner is confident he will help the club with his ability to make good relationships with players. “We are thrilled that Chintu has joined our coaching staff as First Assistant coach. We believe he has an outstanding ability to forge relationships with players and help improve their skills. We do not doubt that he is going to be a great asset to Coach Fathi’s staff.” Kampamba has since commenced work and has traveled with the Pensioners squad to Choma for a week-15 game against Green Eagles FC
