NAC lauds Shimumbi, Nkosha reconciliation
TERENCE MISELO Writes The National Arts Council has praised the reconciliation between comedians Bob Nkosha and Shimumbi ( Aubrey Luo) after their difference over content rights and ownership of the show ‘ Shimumbi’ that was suspended from airing on Zambezi Magic Channel 162. According to a statement from NAC, the two agreed to put away the differences and work together. “ In  the wake of the differences that emerged between Mr. Bob Nkosha and Mr. Aubrey Luo regarding the creative concept of the Shimumbi show, the National Arts Council of Zambia held a reconciliatory meeting between the two parties which was held at Mwayasunka Secondary School in Chisamba on Saturday 2nd May 2020,” the statement read. “The meeting was also attended by  senior leadership from the National Media Arts Association, the Comedians Association of Zambia and the Kings of Comedy Team. During the meeting, an open and frank discussion was held on a number of issues which were affecting the relationship of one of Zambia’s top comedy act. Following this meeting the parties agreed to work together and continue engagements on specific matters pertaining to the show and ensure the show returns to the screens as soon as possible.” The two artistes have since apologised to the fans and NAC hopes this will be appreciated by all the fans. “In view of the above, both Mr. Luo and Mr. Nkosha sincerely apologise to their fans, the people of Zambia and the general public for the inconvenience these differences have caused. They believe that working together, they can continue to provide premium entertainment content to the audiences. They would like to thank the many friends, fans and many people who came forward to ensure the two parties reconcile and continue to work together as they have done for the past 10 years. They hope the fans on both sides will support this decision,” the statement read. The Sun
