SUN SPORTS writes@SunZambianMULTICHOICE is set to increase the number live games broadcast of 2020/21 FAZ MTN Premier League fixtures from 91 games last year to 135.This is part of the increased sponsorship being pumped into the league byt the official broadcaster.Meanwhile, Minister of Sports Emmanuel Mulenga has announced that that the process to have fans return to stadiums will be expedited owing to the fact that incidents of Covid-19 cases had seen a reduction.Speaking at the official launch of the football season, MultiChoice Chief Customer Officer Leah Kooma also dis-closed that the live TV productions that would be beamed through Supersport on both the DSTV and GoTV plat-forms would be entirely produce by locals.She stated that Multichoice was clocking 25 years of operations that has seen 3.5 million Zambians enjoy their services and was excited about the league kick off.“The return of Bola Ya Pa Zed has given MultiChoice more to celebrate on top the 25 years celebration. We believe in local football and local talent,” she said.Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President Andrew Kamanga said the broadcast of the games would fill the void of empty stadiums and he advised fans to take note that the games would be played behind closed doors until such a time that health clearance was given.Mr Kamanga also disclosed that some National Division One games would be aired on ZNBC TV.He further called on more sponsors to come on board to support the various FAZ tournaments such as the 10 Provincial Cups as well as the Women’s Super League.During the same event, MTN Zambia chief marketing officer Seun Soladoye said they acknowledged the love of football by Zambians and hence their conituned sponsorship and support of football.“MTN Zambia is happy to be part of the launch of the pride ourselves to be on the side of the customer and when the consumer loves football, we want to be part of football,” Soladoye said.Eden University public relations manager Emma Banda paid accolades to the teams that won promotion to the Super League and welcomed those relegated to Division One.She stated that as a sponsor Eden University, supported competitiveness of teams which in turn resulted in an exciting league.
