Before magistrate Felix Kaoma was Lewis Chisenga and Ackim Zimba accused of possession of counterfeit notes amounting to K89,600. In giving Judgement Magistrate Kaoma found Chisenga not guilty of the charge and acquitted him accordingly. Magistrate Kaoma said Chisenga was a driver and wouldn’t have known what Zimba was carrying in his bag. In mitigation Zimba pleaded for mercy from the court saying he has learned a lesson because what he did was wrong. Zimba said if jailed his five children and elderly mother will suffer because they have no one to care for them. Magistrate Kaoma said he would have sentenced Zimba to five years imprisonment considering the quantity of fake notes he had in his possession. Magistrate Kaoma said he has excercised lenience on Zimba by jailing for three years. The court jailed Zimba three years imprisonment with hard labour. The Sun
