By ANDREW MUKOMASOME Public places and business centres in Livingstone have stepped up measures to prevent any possible spread of the coronavirus in the city.Business places such as supermarkets and work places like the NAPSA-owned Mosi-oa-Tunya House have become restricted areas and only those wearing face masks are allowed to access such facilities.A survey conducted by the Daily Nation revealed that all persons that were accessing Shoprite, Spar and Choppies Supermarkets were required to have masks on their faces and also needed to wash or sanitize their hands before entering the shops. Those that did not have face masks were being turned away for fear that they could transmit or contract coronavirus. The situation was similar at the NAPSA building which accommodates more than 2,000 office spaces. Some people interviewed commended management of such premises and business centres for coming up with such measures.A resident, Bernard Mutale, was happy that members of the public were adhering to usage of face masks.Mr Mutale observed that this would help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the tourist capital.
