BUUMBA CHIMBULU writes@SunZambianLIQUID Telecoms has positioned itself to provide affordable technological solutions specifically for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which will enhance their operation during and post COVID-19 period.Connectivity has become a very important tool for any business, says Liquid Telecom Chief Financial Officer, Mwendamo Mazaba.Mr Mazaba said it was for this reason that his company had re-launched one of its products called The Blu – a proposition that allowed SMEs to connect their businesses. He was speaking at a press briefing yesterday during the re-launch of the product which had now been rolled out to other parts of the country as it was initially designed only for businesses in Lusaka.“The economy is opening up but most likely we will not go back to the way we used to conduct business so life has changed. In this Covid-19 era, it allows businesses to operate from anywhere.“It is very important during this time but also beyond to allow the businesses to restructure and operate more efficiently which is very key for the SME market,’ Mr Mazaba said.He said Liquid Telecom had invested heavily into its fiber technology.“So we want to invest more into it to enhance the produce and make it accessible to the other parts of the country. Investment is an ongoing process. Will make business operate more efficiently“We have been in fiber connectivity in this country since 2011, what it is now is that we have developed a product specifically target at a sector that considered to be very important to the economy,” Mr Mazaba said.He further said: “It is also a product which is appropriate to the SMEs sector that we consider affordable, they will have the most reliable access to connectivity. The affordability is relative to what is out there.” The Sun
