Komboni Talent Hub excites Tasila, asks for extension to Nkoloma ward

By KALOBWE BWALYA NKOLOMA Ward 1 councilor Tasila Lungu has requested for the extension of the Komboni Talent Hub objectives to her ward saying the initiative is the quickest response to poverty and unemployment among young people. She was speaking in Kapwepwe Ward 25 yesterday when she interacted with some of the women and youths under the Komboni Talent Hub, in Matero Constituency. Ms Lungu promised to be part of the growth of the Komboni Talent Hub as she is convinced that the growth of the Komboni talents would create employment among the youths. Ms Lungu explained that every level had its own challenges and the best way to respond to the challenges was to believe in ourselves and expressed happiness that the Komboni Talent Hub was creating the platform for young people to believe in their dreams. She  requested that the hub be extended to Msisi compound so that many youths can benefit from the programme. And Kapwepwe ward 25 area councilor Patrick Salubusa said the letter had already been written to Lusaka City Council community development department requesting for the extension of the Komboni Talent Hub to all the 33 wards in Lusaka using council facilities such as community halls. Mr Salubusa who is also chairman of the Arts Development Committee at National Arts Council of Zambia (NAC) stressed that the hub is a non-political initiative designed to commercialize Komboni talents and that is why it had been registered under NAC Act of 1994. “This is a non-political initiative, no wonder it will continue beyond my tenure of office as councilor for Kapwepwe Ward 25.  I therefore urge all my fellow Kombonians with different talents to step forward so that together we turn our talents into a source of income,” said Mr Salubusa.
