CEASAR EPHRAIM writes@sunzambianA LUSAKA resident has dragged his wife to Kanyama Local court after catching her red-handed with another man.Moses Michelo, 35, a worker at Yuang Tai Manufacturing of Kanyama has taken his wife of four years, Mather Musonda 30, a house wife of the same locality for committing adultery on their matrimonial bed.Facts of the matter are that the two got married in October 2017, with K4000 bride price being paid in full, the couple has two children boy 3, girl 1 and that the problem started when Michelo was given night shifts.Michelo told the court that neighbors started telling him about how a strange man has been coming to his house even spending nights. Michelo did not want his marriage to end but wanted the court to talk to his wife.Michelo said at first he did not believe it when people told him about his wife’s infidelity because she has seen him through many obstacles.“ ine this woman has seen me through a lot and she has been kind to me even praying for me to have the job I have now, so I don’t know and can’t believe why she has done this to me, please your honor talk to my wife I don’t want a divorce,” Michelo said.Michelo added that the other man he found with his wife will pay dearly if he does not stop immediately coming to his house. In her defense with tears on her face, Musonda did not hesitate to fall on her knees begging both the court and her husband to have mercy on her and forgive her.Musonda said she doesn’t know how the whole thing started, but one day she was coming from the market when the stranger man approached her and sweet talked her into having sex with him.“ine vokamba nilibe but sorry, sorry to the judges and sorry to my husband I have wronged him and I have hurt him even words cannot explain please my husband forgive me,” Musonda saidIn passing judgement the magistrate Mubukwanu Matalaka told Michelo that marriage is between two people and it is difficulty for the court to advise a woman who knows what is expected of her and yet still does the wrong thing. The magistrate said if Michelo is willing to forgive his wife then there is nothing much any one can do and that Musonda should not take advantage of the good heart her husband has because love can also make one kill when angered. The magistrate added that two should go on a temporally separation to allow hearts to cool down but meanwhile Musonda should seek counseling from elders at home and church.
