By PETER SICHALICONSTRUCTION of seven health posts in Isoka is progressing well and expected to be completed by December this year, Isoka Member of Parliament Malozo Sichone has said.Mr Sichone, who is also Muchinga province Minister, said the contractor was on the site and that works on five of the seven had started.The MP said works on the other two prefabricated health posts had not yet started due to inaccessibility of the area.Mr Sichone said a health post at Mpandwa is at 92 per cent completion while Nachisungu, Nalutete, Figolo, and Muyeleka posts were at 90 per cent completion.He said the health posts at Chaswata and Kanyala are yet to start because the heavy rainfall damaged the road network.Mr Sichone, who inspected construction works at Mpandwa, said he was impressed with the quality of works by the contractor.He said the Mpandwa was expected to be opened in the next few weeks so that people could start accessing primary health care services.Mr Sichone has directed the provincial health director to ensure that the facilities were completed by December 2020.The MP also advised communitie to take care of the facilities.Mr Sichone said the health posts would reduce the distance people were covering to access primary health care services.Mr Sichone said it was the desire of the Government to ensure that health care services were brought closer to the people in quest to realise universal health coverage for all.
