GREENS VS REDS DON’T VOTE FOR WRONG PEOPLE
There comes a time when people must put aside their personal and narrow interests. This country is divided into regions politically. There is region A and region B which we all know. This year’s election is not about Chishimba Kambwili or Winter Kabimba, it is about the reds vs the greens.  When A inclinations and B inclinations field too many Presidential candidates, you will make this country to go into wrong hands. “I will appeal to my elder brother (Mr Kabimba) to consider having a meeting where we can as much as possible agree to reduce the number of Presidential candidates in order to avoid this country to go into the wrong hands,” Mr Kambwili said.  I know very much about that party (UPND), he said, I have been inside there and if Zambians make a mistake of voting them, they will regret. “In Bemba they say, ukupesha ilungu kwendamo, naliyendamo elo natolokamo. Chili kuli imwe. Ukwalinsoke takwafwile umuntu,” he said. ( I have been there and jumped out. Fore warned is forarmed.) Mr Kambwili who hailed the PF for embracing other political parties by way of inviting them to attend the conference said politics was not about fighting one another but co-existence. And Rainbow Party president, Winter Kabimba congratulated President Lungu for being unanimously endorsed by the PF central committee as the sole Presidential candidate for the August 12 general elections. Mr Kabimba who jokingly said as his former classmate at the University of Zambia he will give him tough competition at the forthcoming elections urged the Head of State to guard the Presidency jealously to avoid it getting into wrong hands. “Here is my prayer your Excellency, the Presidency of this country must remain in our class. We must guard this Presidency jealously. It must remain in our class in 2021, 2026 and beyond,’ Mr Kabimba said. He thanked President Lungu for having accommodated criticism from opposition political party leaders.  Mr Kabimba also has urged President Lungu to ignore the prophets of doom who were trying to incite the citizens by claiming that, “there will be bloodshed in this elections”. Mr Kabimba said Zambians were peaceful people and they are more peaceful during elections. As we move towards the August elections, he said, it is the duty of each one of us to ensure peace prevails. It is not only your duty but all of us. We will therefore join hands with you to ensure that peace is maintained.  FDD president, Edith Nawakwi said the ruling party was making his campaign difficult as it has delivered in all sectors including having reduced lad-shedding. She also thanked the party for inviting her and other opposition parties to the party general conference and urged other parties to emulative the gesture.
