Government has released K89 million to pay retirees at the Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia, NCZ.
NCZ Board Chairperson, Chitundu Kasase has confirmed the development and commended government for the gesture.
Speaking at a briefing at NCZ, Dr. Kasase has since thanked the retirees for their patience.
And the retirees’ representative, Chanda Bweupe has thanked government for releasing the money, saying life has not been easy for the retired NCZ workers.
Mr. Bweupe has since urged his fellow retirees NOT to misuse their terminal benefits.
Meanwhile, Kafue District Commissioner, Gibson Sinkala stated that government is committed to addressing the plight of retirees in the country.– ZANIS
