FIFA MEETING FLOPS AGAIN

By MUKWIMA CHILALATHE highly anticipated FIFA meeting between the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and aggrieved parties in the electoral process has yet again failed to take off.A check at Lewis Nathan Advocates, the lawyers representing the aggrieved found Damiano Mutale, Elijah Shenko Chileshe and Blackwell Siwale waiting in anticipation of the said meeting.However FAZ general secretary Adrian Kashala gave an indication it would not place because FIFA was yet to give direction regarding the said meeting.In an email sent to the aggrieved, Kashala said FAZ was still waiting for a response from FIFA and would later notify the aggrieved parties on the next way forward.Meanwhile in an interview, Kashala stated that the aggrieved delayed to send the names of the people to attend the meeting, a situation which affected the association to send details to FIFA at night.“The meeting is not on. We have not received the credentials from FIFA, we are waiting on credentials we just sent the details the other day in the night because the aggrieved sent the names late so we have to wait for them (FIFA) to respond,” said KashalaBut Mutale expressed disappointment at the failure to convene the meeting and said it was a sign that FAZ were simply trying to buy some time.
