MATHEWS NDANDULA writes @SunZambianTHE much anticipated FIFA meeting is set for tomorrow following almost 8 months of back and forth between the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and ‘aggrieved’ football stakeholders.The meeting follows the failure of the 31 October online meeting that was put off following the late contact response from the aggrieved parties.Previously, a meeting date could not be agreed on due to lack of contacts from the aggrieved parties which were not submitted to FIFA.FAZ Communications Manager Sydney Mungala has confirmed in a statement that the meeting is set for tomorrow and that Government will be represented by the Minister of Sports.“The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) wishes to inform the football family and all stakeholders that world football governing body, FIFA, has confirmed Thursday, 5th November 2020, as date for the meeting between FAZ and the aggrieved parties,” reads the statement.The FIFA meeting will be held via video conference from 10:00hours – 12:00 hours (Swiss time) and is expected to be attended by 10 invited participants.These include Minister of Sports Emmanuel Mulenga, Sports Permanent Secretary Joe Kapembwa, FAZ President Andrew Kamanga, FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala and Director of Sport John Zulu.Others are National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) Chairperson Patrick Mutimushi and Sports Council acting general secretary Raphael Mulenga.The aggrieved parties on electoral complaints will be represented by Damiano Mutale, Patson Lusaka and Ricky Mamfunda.FIFA, who are the conveners of the meeting, have also shared their agenda which includes remarks from the football governing body, the sports minister, NSCZ, aggrieved parties, response by FAZ and the way forward and the closing remarks, which will be made by FIFA.According to FAZ all parties have been communicated to directly by FIFA.
