FAZ TIPS FOOTBALL ADMINISTRATORS
By MICHAEL MIYOBA THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has urged football administrators from Lusaka, Southern, Western and Central provinces to use the knowledge gained from the FIFA administrators’ course to improve the way football is managed in their respective provinces. Speaking when closing the two-day FIFA administrators’ course at Tecla Hotel in Lusaka, FAZ president Andrew Kamanga reminded football administrators to use the association’s constitution as a guide to their day to day operations. Kamanga said the association was happy that football administrators have adopted provincial regulations that are aligned to the FAZ constitution. He reminded administrators to keep working hard to develop football in the country. Kamanga reaffirmed the association’s commitment to capacitate football administrators to ensure that the game is run smoothly. Meanwhile, Kamanga hailed FIFA administrators’ course facilitator, Ashford Mamelodi for empowering the local soccer administrators with knowledge meant to take the Zambian game forward. “This programme has helped heal some of the myths and misconceptions that we as administrators may have had about our responsibilities. This course will also help us understand our roles in line with the revised FAZ constitution that was aligned to FIFA Statutes. After closing the training course in Lusaka, Kamanga said FAZ would conduct the same training course on the Copperbelt to feature all elected provincial executive committee members from the northern half of the country.
