Fans await  Covid-19  clearance
MATHEWS NDANDULA writes@SunZambian TALKS are underway with various stakeholders to agree on whether football fans can attend matches, Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) general secretary Adrian Kashala has said.Following the approval of fixtures by the FAZ Executive Committee the Zambian Premier League will kick off on 31 October 31 following the abrupt end to the previous season due to Covid-19 concerns.In an interview, Kashala said talks are underway with other stake holders on weather fans should be allowed to be in the stadium to give support to their teams.“Talks are underway, as I speak to you and we will give guidance as soon as we conclude but the fact is we are still living with Covid-19. It is not yet over, so fans should wait for the update soon, as the league kicks off this weekend,” Kashala said.The FAZ chief executive officer say all the hurdles have been cleared to ensure that the season kicks off as scheduled on October 31, 2020. “Clubs will be expected to adhere to the Covid-19 health protocols as we commence the league,” he said.The full fixtures have been duly circulated to the members in the Zambia Premier League.The 2020/2021 football calendar opened with the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield that was won by Nkana Football Club.Week One fixtures:Power Dynamos Vs Young Green EaglesKitwe United Vs Prison LeopardsBuildcon Vs Lusaka DynamosGreen Buffaloes Vs Red ArrowsNapsa Stars Vs Zesco UnitedZanaco Vs IndeniForest Vs NkanaKabwe Warriors Vs Green EaglesLumwana Radiants Vs Nkwazi The Sun
