Eden lead under spotlight
TIM ZULU writes THIS weekend’s Eden University National Division One League gets more interesting as the Week 26 matches mounts pressure on the top six to maintain their place and wrestle for the top spot. From the time the league resumed a few weeks ago, Eden log leadership has changed towns twice from Kitwe United who wrestled it from the then leaders Prison Leopards after making good use of one re-scheduled game to now Indeni FC of Ndola and there is a high probability chance it may change hands again this weekend unless if the latter have other ideas as they take on one tricky side Sinazongwe United away in Maamba. Kitwe United, who are at par with Indeni on 49 points, may take it back if Indeni faulters at Kanzinze Stadium and the ‘Chingalika’ put the ‘Soldiers’ Chindwin Sentries at Garden Park in Kitwe against their sword. Young Green Eagles, who are yet to drop any sweat during this period of Covid-19 uncertainties, are itching to get their armoury ready for the ‘Crocs’ in a serious test match provided Kafue Celtic have made progress in having their Covid-19 results under their thick skin.  In all fairness both teams who did not play last weekend will no doubt relish to dig in for full positive points. While a win for Celtic will help them close the gap, in the same vein should that chance befall in the hands of Young Eagles, then the ZNS sponsored side may end up with top smiles provided the set pacers cast their heads down. Motivated in all spheres you can think of, recent league leaders Prison Leopards know very well that anything less other than a win against Mumbwa Medics in Mumbwa will be a big disservice in their quest to get where their minds are focused on; that is the Super League. Will Medics stand in their way? Maybe yes, maybe no. In Mpulungu, Mpulungu Harbour will be out to test if their Ndola outing stadium debacle nightmare is behind them or not as they take on giant killers Police College. The other week 26 FAZ Eden Division one League Matches will be up and about on Sunday 2nd August, 2020  WEEKEND FIXTURES F.C Muza Vs Zesco Shockers.  Chambishi Vs Zambeef.  Nchanga Rangers Vs National Assembly  Zesco Malaiti Rangers Vs Gomes.
