By ANDREW MUKOMATHE Covid-19 positive cases in Livingstone are on the rise, causing worry among Government officials.Livingstone District Commissioner, Pascalina Musokotwane, said that cases had continued to rise everyday and called for concerted efforts to plug the pandemic.She said this when Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary Mushuma Mulenga paid a courtesy call on her at her office.Ms Musokotwane said that the situation was worrying and there was need for more efforts in the sensitisation exercise.She said that from the updates given to her office by the District Medical Office, the cases were on the rise especially in densely populated townships.Ms Musokotwane said however that a team that had arrived in Livingstone from Ministry of Health in Lusaka to reinforce the manpower in the tourist capital.“The main thing we are doing is swabbing a lot of people more especially from the community that have a lot of people,” she said.Ms Musokotwane said that Livingstone was the most vulnerable throughout the country because of ono-adherence to Covid-19 guidelines.
