LINDA SOKO TEMBO writes AN 18-year-old boy in Chinsali District has drowned in Nashinga River after a canoe capsized, Muchinga commissioner of Police Joel Njase has said. Mr Njase said that the incident happened April 22 when Steven Chileshe drowned and that his 73-year-old father Benson Mwila reported the matter to the police. In an interview with the Sun, Mr Njase said that Chileshe had left home around 06:00 hours and went to Nashinga River to buy fish at Mabuku Island using a dugout canoe but unfortunately didn’t come back home. Mr Njase said that when Chileshe was heading back home there was a strong wind, which made his canoe to capsize and he drowned.    “The body has since been retrieved from Nashinga River and inspected thoroughly. There was no physical injuries seen and no foul play is suspected,” he said. Mr Njase said that the family members were advised to go ahead with burial arrangements and that an inquiry file had been opened. Editor@1
