A-12-year old boy of Shiwang’andu district in Muchinga province has committed suicide, Muchinga Commissioner of Police Joel Njase has confirmed. Mr Njase said the incident happened on Saturday between 15:00 and 16:00 hours in Lunsakula village in Chief Mukwikile’s area. Mr Njase said Mulenga Chipiti 54, who is grandfather to the deceased of Lusankula in Mukwikile of Shiwang’andu District reported that his grandchild Kangwa Hapson 12of the said abode was found hanging in the bush with a fibre on his neck.“Upon on receiving the report, the scene was visited and the body was inspected and no physical injuries were found. Protruding tongue, open eyes and suspected broken neck were some of the facts to prove suicide hence the family was advised to bury as there was no foul play. However, the motive behind the same is not yet known,” Mr Njase said. He said statements have been recorded and inquiry file has since been opened.
