‘Be truthful’
MATHEWS NDANDULA writes@SunZambian AGGRIEVED football stakeholders should to tell the public the truth over the earlier failed FIFA meeting, Football Association of Zambia general secretary Adrian Kashala has said. The FAZ boss has insisted that the reconciliation process is not for one person but affects all the football lovers in the country adding that the process needs the seriousness it deserves. He was speaking to the media recently at Football House following the questions on the way forward over the much anticipated FIFA meeting.“We have always been ready for the FIFA meeting as FAZ but our colleagues from the aggrieved parties seem to take it so casual, I saw in one of the media sections where they said they gave me their contacts for the earlier failed meeting that is not true let’s be serious and let’s tell the nation the truth,” he said.“This issue is not for one individual it affects all the lovers of the game across the country. I did not receive any contact from them I even called Mr. Damiano Mutale and he told me that he was in the other part of Congo DR (Mukambo) then he told me that he was going to send. Up to now I called him again he said ‘Bakalamba Nalatuma’ – so at what point did I receive their contacts?”Kashala went on to say the meeting failed after representatives from FAZ, National Sports Council of Zambia and the Ministry of Sports had already logged in but were told that the meeting could not go ahead without the other group. He said they are waiting for a new date to be set.
