By MICHAEL MIYOBA WEEK-7 if the Midlands Basketball Association MBA League produced some interesting results as all the giants in Unza Pacers, Matero Magic and Green Buffaloes all recording victories over the weekend. Green Buffaloes shocked Napsa Hurricanes 80-76 in a tightly contested game played at NASDEC Sports complex on Saturday night. It was Hurricanes first defeat of the season as Buffaloes moved to 13 points on the MBA League tables where they sit on second position. Meanwhile, Matero Magic outclassed KSM Giants 105-52 to maintain their unbeaten run and move into third with 12 points. Pacers picked their fourth win of the season after beating Matero Warriors 84-78 to move to sixth position with 10 points. And despite losing to Pacers, Matero Warriors maintained fourth on the MBA League table with 11 points. Warriors are on par with Munali Suns who were 60-43 victors over Hawks at the weekend. In the feminine league, Unza Honeys moved to second after beating Dolphins 63-56 while Green Buffaloes women’s team beat Hotspurs 58-37 to move into fourth with 11 points. Meanwhile, the fixture involving Heroes Play United and LCC Looters has been pushed to a later date. Margic Sparks and City Falcons fixture and Nishati Shells’s game against Napsa Breeze have also been postponed.
