MUKWIMA CHILALA writes Following their recent plea for sponsorship from stakeholders, sponsorship has started trickling in for Lusaka Tigers as Autoguardengineering Company has partnered the club and injected K10,000 and and assortment of two sets of soccer Jerseys to the team. Auto Guard Engineering company General manager Vincent Lubindasaid that the sponsorship deal would see his company sponsor the Matero based side for three years as they would also provide for other needs such as transport allowances. And Tigers Chairman Teddy Njovu said the financial help that AutoGuard had rendered to the club would help enhance their promotion aspirations to the Division league. Speaking during the handover ceremony of the dummy cheque worth K10,000, Lubinda said that his company would further give another K10,000 to the team and that they would continue doing so for the next three years. He said that the company was compelled to partner Lusaka Tigers after being moved by the club’s plea for corporate sponsorship. ‘’We felt touched by their plea for corporate sponsorship a few days ago and that’s why we came on board because we want to also plough back to the community as we  a Zambian owned club and this is a community team from which we operate from,’’ Lubinda said. We are pleased to associate ourselves with the community team and the executive committee of this team has been doing everything and putting in a lot to see to it that this club thrives hence resolve to come on board and wish to continue doing so for the next three years. And the Tigers chairman Njovu said the sponsorship from Autogaurdwould not affect the already existing arrangement with Fairview College who had continued to offer the club with transportation. Njovu said that with the goodwill that had continued to trickle in to the club, they were own course to attaining their bench mark of winning promotion to Division One.
